Last week Mary & I were in New York City for the blogging conference, BlogHer, and even though every day was jammed packed with conference sessions, networking events, meetings, and crazy theme parties we still managed to squeeze in some shopping. Hard to believe, I know.
C. Wonder was at the top of our list to visit because…uh…well, we live in the sticks and there is no hope of seeing a physical C. Wonder store here for a very (very) long time. So through swamp-like humidity and hoards of tourists we trudged, undeterred toward the C. Wonder flagship store in Soho. Arriving on Spring St. the (soon to be) iconic lime green flag with white “C” hung lifeless in the heat waved in the breeze beckoning us in. Entering the store through floor-to-ceiling lacquered lime doors cool air conditioning and an even cooler DJ welcomed us into the preppy wonderland and the shopping began.
We won’t bore you with what all we bought, suffice it to say we LOVED the amazing assortment of bags (the Gusset Tote with monogram!) and jewelry – so many really pretty things to weigh down our suitcases. C. Wonder’s selection of unique home goods was really amazing too, so amazing in fact that we didn’t get any photos because Nicole’s hands were busy juggling a stack of Ikat bowls & plates. What can we say? We’re love affordable luxe! 😉
If you’re like us and don’t live in a hugely metropolitan area, your best bet for shopping C. Wonder is online and right now they are moving out Summer merchandise in their Summer Clearance Sale, plus they are offering a great Back to School Free Shipping deal! Get Free Ground Shipping with code CWSHIP (Restrictions apply, valid thru August 31).
Take a look at some of these C. Wonder items that we’re going to scoop up at the online sale.
Bangles – the “arm party” trend isn’t going away any time soon – adding a pop of color or two to your wrist is fun and helps pull your outfit together.
Wardrobe Basics – a great shirt dress, a lightweight blazer (in eyelet, yes!), and a cotton camisole are timeless pieces you’ll get tons of wear from.
Hip Home Goods – lots of fun prints, patterns, and collections all very nicely priced.
Cute Shoes & Bags – is there really anything else we need to say?
Have you shopped C. Wonder before? What do you love best?
